On Saturday, October 3rd 2015 we held our first Apple Pressing Day. The Community Woodland Team was supported by Broomheath Plantation and Clive Richardson from Whitegate who brought along their equipment for cutting, crushing and pressing the apples to produce fresh apple juice. The fresh juice was enjoyed by the many members of the community who attended. Tarvin Wildlife Watch and Cheshire Wildlife Trust provided other entertainment and information. The event was judged a success and we will hold another next year on Saturday, October 1st 2016. Pictures were taken by Kirsty Thorp and Roy Brereton.
