Wildlife of the Woodland

The diverse plant life in Tarvin Community Woodland supports a wide range of animals, making it a haven for wildlife. Whether you're quietly observing from a bench or exploring, you'll have the chance to spot a variety of creatures.

Mammals

The woodland is home to several small mammals, including hedgehogs, squirrels, and rabbits, who dart between the undergrowth. If you're lucky, you may even spot a fox roaming through the woodland at dawn or dusk. Bats also frequent the area, hunting for insects at twilight.

Insects and Amphibians

Thanks to the bug hotels, the woodland is teeming with insect life such as spiders, woodlice, snails, worms, centipedes, and millipedes. Frogs are also commonly seen, adding to the biodiversity of the area.
