Triple celebration for Tarvin Woodland
October 24th 2015 was a red letter day for Tarvin and the woodland. It was again hosted by Tarvin Primary School and headmaster Andrew Davies. There were three significant presentations.
Councillor Samantha Dixon, Leader of Cheshire West and Chester handed over the deeds to the woodland. An event which confirms that the woodland belongs to the village in perpetuity.
We then had our sixth consecutive Green Flag presented by Antoinette Sandbach, the MP for Eddisbury.
Finally, we also received a cheque for £6,600 presented by local resident, Jonathan Sears. The money was collected by employees of Barclays Bank and then matched pound for pound by the bank under the Employee Community Programme.
