In 2011 John Plant excelled himself.  With his new “apprentice” John Sim he laid 150 metres of hawthorn hedge (trees) that hadn’t been maintained for probably 25-30 years.  On September 28th at the annual Cheshire Ploughing Match he was suitably rewarded by CPRE / Cheshire Landscape Trust (CLT).
