Jim Grogan Countryside and Wildlife Award - 2018

The 2018 Award, the eighth, has been presented to Oliver Bebbington.

On Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 the heatwave continued and the whole of Tarvin Primary School assembled in the woodland for the annual presentation. The headmaster, Andrew Davies, said that the school used the woodland for many of the school’s activities and thanked the trustees for all the work that they do to develop and maintain the woodland.  Again this year, the award selection process had not been easy but one person had emerged as this year’s winner.

He announced that Oliver Bebbington of year 6 was the winner for 2018 and read out the citation that had been fixed into the commemorative book that is on permanent display in the school’s entrance hall.  Oliver has always had a great interest in wildlife as well as gardening and removing litter.

Stuart Exell, Chairman of the Trustees, presented Oliver with his certificate, a commemorative plaque and a book token.
