The following grants were received in the year ending February 2014

** Tarvin Parish Council has given £1000 as an annual contribution to the basic running costs of the Trust.  These include insurances and memberships. 

** Cheshire West and Chester’s Rural Support Fund has given £8600 as matched funding towards the £19,200 cost of rebuilding Grogan’s Walk, the main path through the woodland. 

** WREN, the company that awards grants to projects which are eligible under the Landfill Communities Fund has given £8600 as matched funding towards the £19,200 cost of rebuilding Grogan’s Walk, the main path through the woodland. 

The work took place in late July and early August 2013.

MBNA, the bank based in Chester, has donated £370 from its MBNA 20 Community Grants Programme, set up to celebrate twenty years in Chester.  The grant was towards the construction of a second bird hide in the grounds of Tarvin Primary School, a bird feeding station and an initial supply of bird food.

The bird food is being supplied to the Trust at a specially discounted price by Gibson’s of Kingsley Mill.
